Members Rights & Responsibilities
As a member of the Perth Improvised Theatre Society (PITS) cooperative, you have both rights and responsibilities that are essential to our collective success and centred around our Core Behaviours.
You have the right to:
Participation: To enjoy a welcoming, fun, and safe improv community; a community where members lead and attend events & shows, cheer one another on, learn, practice, and perform improv, build teams and laugh together.
Communication: We provide an event calendar, manage a Discord server, and make decisions through Loomio to keep all our members informed and allow them to contribute to the cooperative.
A Voice: Have your voice heard at the Annual General Meeting, vote on changes, and participate in important decisions in strategic discussions and community feedback polls on Loomio.
You have a responsibility to:
Engage: Actively participate in events, volunteer for fundraising drives, create or be part of a team, attend shows (both as an audience member and performer), hone your craft, and start or contribute to a thing. You’re not required to do everything, we just want you to be involved with the community that works to give you great opportunities to learn and perform improv theatre.
Respect: Maintain a respectful and collaborative attitude in all interactions with other members, with the public in general, and when representing the cooperative.
Represent: Attend the Annual General Meeting and other governance events, contributing to the community’s growth and success.
The cooperative is only as succesful as the efforts of its members. A stronger, more active community provides more and better services to its members.
